Mandatory Reconsideration Completion

Our Mandatory Reconsideration Support Appointment is designed to help you challenge a benefits decision if you believe it is incorrect. We will help you present your case clearly and ensure the decision-maker has all the relevant information needed to review your claim.

During the appointment, we will:

• Review the decision letter and explain the reasons for the decision.

• Discuss which parts of the decision you disagree with and why.

• Help you identify evidence that supports your request for reconsideration.

• Assist you in completing the Mandatory Reconsideration form or drafting a written request.

• Ensure your difficulties, support needs, and circumstances are clearly explained.

• Help you address any inaccuracies or misunderstandings in the original decision.

• Review medical reports, assessments, and other supporting documents.

• Explain what happens after the Mandatory Reconsideration is submitted and discuss possible next steps.

Our aim is to help you submit a clear, well-evidenced Mandatory Reconsideration request that accurately reflects your circumstances and gives you the best opportunity to have the decision reviewed fairly.

This will be a 60 minute appointment followed by me writing everything up for you.
